Description Reviews Videos Size Chart Accessories

The CaliberDog K9 Tactical MOLLE Vest was designed with many features to accommodate the working military and police dog.  This vest is made to conform to the contour and shape of the dog.  The adjustable chest/neck strap sits above the dog’s breast bone eliminating any gap at the neck area of the vest.  The back girth strap sits far enough forward and angle correctly on the dog eliminating the problem of causing pain to a male dog.  The two metal welded v-rings are set up on the vest back so when the dog is in motion there won’t be a problem of the rings going under the vest and jabbing into the dogs back or neck.  The handles are set up on the top of the vest.  This makes them easily accessible and they hook and loop flat when not in use.  This eliminates the problem of the handles hanging off the vest and grabbing the dog’s hair when it is time to pick up the dog.  The girth strap buckles are placed on the vest with material tabs under the buckles, eliminating the problem of the buckles riding on the dogs ribs and rubbing or pulling the fur.  The vest is constructed of two layers of material, plus MOLLE straps to accommodate the MOLLE accessories available for this vest.

The underside of our K9 Tactical MOLLE Vest has a thick layer of spacer mesh.  Spacer mesh is a unique material that makes the vest comfortable for the dog because it not only cushions the vest, but also keeps the air flow moving under the vest.

There are two rows of MOLLE straps and hook and loop on each side of the vest.  The MOLLE straps will accommodate all the MOLLE vest accessories available.  The top-back of the vest has 4” wide hook and loop running the length of the vest and has two load rated V-rings for attaching leads.

Any of our hook and loop patches will work on this vest.

The K9 Tactical MOLLE Vest comes standard with color coordinated Duraflex Cop-loc triple locking buckles.  You have the option to purchase the vest with load-rated metal Alpine Cobra buckles.

Two colors: coyote or black.

There are two girth sizes available for this vest, Medium will fit a girth of 26-31” and the large will fit a girth of 32-39”.

*If you select patches with your vest they will be sent loose w/hook and loop*

**If you select Specialty Patches, they will be sent with iron-on backing**

Follow-up Review
This is a follow up to my first review on the Caliber vest.
There was a simple improvement that I made in this otherwise outstanding vest. The front chest buckle and strap are not padded. This might not be an issue for your dog, but I sometimes clip in a long leash to the top back buckle and let my dog lead the way. He doesn't really pull that hard, compared to when he's in his tracking harness. However, I realized that his tracking vest is heavily padded up front for a good reason. I did a simple fix to help this. I bought an inexpensive 2 inch thick padded strap with Velcro connection tabs, that is normally used to pad a shoulder strap and attached it to the front strap. This should help pad the front chest buckle and strap.

I've included pics of the padded strap and pics of my setup of the Caliber Vest and contents. The back pouches have medical gear.
I really do like this VEST!
Aloha, J.

Suddenly Involved in the Military
I am afraid that I will never get back the sweet innocent puppy that I had before I purchased this vest. She has taken the “tactical” portion of the name a tad too literally. Everything she does now has a purpose. It's as if every move she makes is carefully planned out to execute a higher objective. Three days after purchasing this tactical vest I found her consulting with a team of Navy SEALs. She told me not to worry about it. I have been worrying about it.
I found rappelling equipment in her kennel! Her kennel!! Why the hell does she need rappelling equipment!? Where did she get all these carabiners and anchor systems? She has a “Don't Tread on Me” patch on her vest. I didn't buy that for her. SHE HAS NIGHT VISION DOGGLES!!!! In what reality does my dog need night vision!?
A week and a half after the aforementioned SEAL incident she went missing, for 2 and a half days. I learned that night that the dictatorship in Ghana was dismantled. She was very dodgy on any questions I had for her about these developments. When we were done talking she murmured under hear breath something about me “not even being able to dream of gaining that level of security access”.
Last night I found evidence of her torturing a terrorist. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment, where was she hiding him!? He was behind the bookshelf. In the grand scheme of things, I am actually really proud of her for this one. However, this kind of drama should not be in my life!!! 5/5 on the vest, but beware, your canine might suddenly gain a military rank (my pooch is a Commander) and a mastery in Krav Maga.

Great Vest
I used to keep all the dog things, needed for my dogs daily play/training/hikes in my backpack. I debated getting this vest for over a year and finally decided to pull the trigger and buy it along with 2 large bags.
I can't be happier.
One of my G/S dogs now carries the load and I'm unburdened. The large bags are good sized and I stuff em with two 0.5 liter bottles of water, collapsible bowl, 3" ball with rope, small bite bag with handles, plastic muzzle, XL adashi/ajjoshi gloves, poop bags in a dispenser, Fenix TK16 flashlight, Sprenger collars and a package of disposable bath cloths. I wanted to buy the medic pouch at the same time when I bought this but realized, there wasn't going to be any room on the side next to the large bags. I went online and found some pouches that are made to attach vertically that sort of fit at the back end. It sticks out about an inch or so past the vest.
The dogs are used to tracking harnesses, so they had no problems adjusting to the vest. I've had it for about two weeks and hiked/walked over 3-4 miles each morning. Quality is excellent, it fits the dogs very well. I walk, hike or train in open fields and hiking paths, where the dogs easily run, walk, trot, or jump and don't seem to mind the vest or weight.
I take them out very early in the morning when it's cool so I don't know how it performs or rather how the dogs would perform in warmer temperatures. Overall a very well made product.
I might post some pics later in the week.

This is THE ONE!
This is the harness that everyone else has been trying to make, but fall short. No one else comes close to the quality, durability, and customer service.
My Service Dog wears this harness every time we leave the house, so it gets a workout! Plenty of space for patches, handles that velcro to the harness and are out of the way until you need them, and the MOLLE allows for countless configurations of pouches depending on our needs for each outing.
I simply can't say enough good things about this harness.

Love this Vest
We got this vest for my husbands service dog and they both just love it. It fits great on his GSD. We had a half vest on him before and he hated the vest. Was always trying to get it off. We put this one on him and he does not want it off. He is doing much better with it and it does not move around on him. When we go in places and he lays down the vest stays in place. This vest has made both the Handle and the GSD fell so much better. We love this vest.

Awesome!
Not a vest for beginners - I would recommend starting your dog off with a lightweight vest, this one is a tad weighty once you start adding bags unless your dog is used to vests. Highly recommended for the experienced dog.
I bought this vest for my service dog and it is GREAT! The tabs on the back make for easy removal. Make sure of your dog's girth because it's pretty spot-on for sizing. It is MOLLE compatible and worked with the gear that I had purchased from s different site. My dog is more comfortable with this vest than with her previous vests. She is an Elkhound, so she gets hot easily. The mesh lining keeps the vest up off her and ventilates it a bit. The bags don't move around like on other vests - they're secure so the weight doesn't shift around. The cobra buckles are super easy to use and I don't need to worry about them breaking, they hold up well. The Velcro enables me to add or remove patches as necessary and that was a must. This was the perfect vest for my service dog and me!
