The Wheelchair Pulling Harness has been specifically designed for those using a wheelchair. No other harness is so specifically tailored to serve your needs.

It has a stiff back plate for added stability when using the handle. If the dog handler has to stand and lean into the dog the stiffer back plate makes this harness stronger and spreads the force and not cause the dog extra strain. The handle is a stiff ‘stand-up’ sort. With two D-rings, you have the option to attach the wheelchair Pulling Lead on either D-ring. Or you may want to put a leash on the front D-ring and your pulling lead on the back D-ring. This works well when you are starting a new dog in training with a wheelchair. Another feature of having two D-rings is that you can give the dog just a little more room to work by attaching the leash to the back ring when entering narrow areas.

Unlike other harnesses, there are no MOLLE straps or Hook & Loop taking up extra room on the top. This gives the harness more room for identification patches making them highly visible on top the dogs back. The harness has two girth straps, making it more stable and tends to roll less when pressure is on the D-rings. There is a floating strap that runs between the two girth straps so they will not separate. As a safety feature, the chest and back girth strap have reflective webbing on them. Both the back and chest pads are Sherpa lined for the dogs comfort. The chest pad is wide thus distributing the pressure from the dog pulling a wheelchair. A dog’s power is in its chest so the chest pad absorbs this force and does not strain on the dog’s neck.

  • Two D-rings
  • Reflective Webbing
  • Stand Up Handle
