Two-part BackPack Harness Vest for your Working dog. This backpack Harness Set is not only functional but looks very attractive on your K-9 working partner. This vest is loaded with features and is quality made with all seams double sewn. This backpack harness vest is made from 1000 Denier Poly Duck fabric and it is lined with quilted fabric for comfort. The quilted fabric lets the dog’s skin breathe better and there is no slippery vinyl on the bottom of the harness vest that tends to slide around the dogs back. The top of the harness has a D-ring to attach your leash or lead and a handle. The front chest part of the harness attaches with wide Hook and Loop so it is secure and adjustable. The girth strap is a comfortable wide strap that closes with a side release snap buckle and it is adjustable. This strap is sewn all the way around the harness making it securely attached to the harness and the dog. The bottom harness could also be used as a large service vest or coat for your dog should you not want to use the backpacks that are detachable. The Hook and Loop on top of the harness and on the bottom of the top of the backpacks is attached the entire length of the harness and backpack so the backpacks attach securely. The backpack bags attach with the Hook and Loop on the top and have added Hook and Loop between the packs and harness bottom giving it more stability. Now while your dog is running or loaded unevenly, the backpack bags stay in place and are not floppy in the wind.

Each backpack side closes with a zipper. There is a nylon netting see through outer pouch on each side. This is great for carrying your Frisbee or items that you frequently require. The backpacks are designed to fit over the handle and D-ring so that both the D-ring and handle can be used while the backpacks are attached to the harness. The backpack bags are large approximately 10”x13” and expand 3”. The rounded flowing design of the bottom of these backpacks makes them a more functional and safer design. There are no flopping belts on this backpack harness vest which tend to catch on objects. This 2 piece Backpack Harness Vest is made to carry lots of stuff and is a workhorse for traveling.

Girth Size: 32” - 38”

A GREAT LOOKING SET. .
I got this vest / pack set for my Service Dog "APRIL", and I'm happy I did.! I had issues with the stitching around the neck and the patches, and after only a month of use, the threads are coming lose, because they were NOT tied correctly. This has let the patch roll up. But in all fairness, I have contacted Active Dogs, and we work out the details to fix the problem, I'll post an up-date..
I bought the RED set because APRIL is a Black Lab / Chow Mix, and she looks very good in this RED Vest and Pack Set.! And, she knows it too.! She is "Large and In Charge" when she has her "Coat" on. She knows she is working, she does not want petted, but will allow it if I approve.. She is so Professional Looking in her vest & Pack Set. People DO SEE and RESPECT the Reflective- "Service Dog- Ask To Pet" Patches, and have always ask first to pet April.. I'm happy I went the extra cost and got the better quality patches.. I have a Professional Working Dog, so Why not treat her like one and get her the best looking UNIFIORM that I can.? I just don't know why I didn't come here first..! If you respect your working dog, you owe it to the dog to get them a great looking uniform to work in, so get this set. You will NOT be sorry you did.!

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Just an OK product, not great
My SD is a Great Pyrenees. If the packs get caught on something, the dog (at least my giant breed one) can rip the packs off the vest, since they are just held on with velcro. The packs become unbalanced and slip to one side or the other VERY easily. Weight as little as a couple of ball point pens extra in one side cause cause slipping to the side. The girth strap is plenty tight, but there are still slipping problems. After my girl went through a heat cycle, her nipples grew. The nylon girth strap was sawing on her nipples. Added a sheepskin seat belt cover to the girth. That stopped the sawing, and helped with the slipping, but didn't entirely fix the slipping to the side problem. The side mesh pockets are 100% USELESS, if your dog ever shakes! All items in the mesh pockets will go flying out, and land all over. This could be solved by sewing on velcro. With my sewing machine in storage I have not done this. Velcro is too hard to sew by hand. The handle is right over the dog's shoulder, and is solidly part of the vest, not the removable packs. The handle is perfect for a person with some mobility/balance issues, as I have. I can hold onto the handle and get a nice assistance pull from my SD. If someone traveled a lot, or went through mental detectors a lot (like a courthouse employee) they might like these packs. Since the pack is just held on with velcro, it can easily be removed, and the dog is still in a vest, complete with patches. The vest part has no metal, the buckles are high quality plastic. Perfect for metal detectors. The pack has metal tabs on the zipper. The pack can easily be removed and sent through X-ray, or stowed in an overhead bin, leaving your dog free of lumpy packs, but still fully vested. The packs are attached with velcro at three points. A wide strip, the full length of the vest, down the dog's spine. Two other squares, about a Post-It note size, are at the bottoms of the packs, to keep them from flopping up and down if the dog trots. The soft part of the velcro is sewn to the vest part, the hard scratchy part of the velcro is sewn to the packs. So if you remove the packs, the vest is soft, and not scratchy to touch. The dog will also not pick up all kinds of lint and fur, on the vest velcro, since it's the soft half of velcro. Because of their slippage issue, I and my Service Dog are not entirely happy with these vest/packs. They have their good points, but a lot of bad too. We've used them for over a year, and will be looking for something different.
