Service Dog Vest Kits, Therapy Dog Vest Kits& Emotional Support Dog Kits with Vests

Service dogs have been individually trained to perform tasks to assist people with one or more disabilities. Since disabilities vary greatly, service dogs are trained to do a wide variety of tasks. For instance, guide dogs are trained to help those with visual impairments. Mobility dogs are trained to help people with mobility issues. There are also hearing dogs, medical alert dogs, autism service dogs and psychiatric service dogs. In order for a person to legally qualify for a service dog, they must be considered disabled and the dog must be trained to ADA specifications.

Many service dogs can be identified by the service dog vests they wear, leash covers or special identification tags. Doing such makes it easier on the handler in public, lessening the inconvenience and explanation of their service animal. Some businesses, such as airlines, prefer to see an identification card or vest that indicates the dog is indeed a service dog.

If you’re looking for service dog kits, Active Dogs carries three different options for small and large dogs. Take a look at our standard, deluxe and premium service dog vest kits to find the solution that best meets your needs.

Emotional Support Dog Kits

Emotional support animals, usually dogs, are animals that have been prescribed by a licensed mental health professional. The ESA provides comfort and support in forms of affection and companionship for an individual suffering from various mental and emotional conditions like anxiety. An emotional support dog is not required to perform any specific tasks for a disability like service dogs are. Their purpose is to help promote emotional stability and provide unconditional love.

Any dog can be an emotional support dog and does not have to be professionally trained although obedience training is highly recommended. They are often identified by wearing an emotional support vest, leash cover, or tags identifying the dog as an emotional support dog. Emotional support dogs do not have public access rights but are allowed to fly with their owners and qualify for no-pet housing. Some businesses, such as airlines, require seeing an identification card or vest indicating that the dog is an emotional support dog.

Active Dogs has emotional support dog kits with vests for small and large dogs. The kits are available in three different options — standard, deluxe and premium, and in addition to the vest, offer items like identification cards, service dog tags, information cards, patches and more. Take a look at our selection of emotional support dog kits with vests to find the one that’s right for you and your emotional support dog.

Therapy Dog Kits

Therapy dogs have been trained to interact with people for therapeutic purposes. They mainly provide affection and comfort to people in hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, retirement homes, schools, and aided-education programs. Therapy dogs don’t necessarily have to be trained to perform specific tasks. However, therapy dogs need to be very calm and well behaved so they can comfort and soothe the people they are around.

Therapy dogs are commonly privately owned and tend to visit facilities on a regular basis. Since therapy dogs are not covered under any specific federal laws, therapy dog owners must get permission to bring their dogs to businesses or other public spaces beforehand. Many places welcome therapy dogs if the dog is trained and obedient, does not pose a threat to others, can benefit those present at the facility, and does not adversely affect the facility's operations. Vests, leash covers, or tags are all great ways to help identify therapy dogs

If you need therapy dog registration cards, training vests, leash covers or aluminum tags, check out our therapy dog vest starter kits for a great value. And if you have any questions about any of the kits that we offer, contact us. We look forward to assisting you.
