We designed this No-Pull Strap Harness style for those applications where you want minimal equipment with maximum control on the working dog.  The No-Pull Service Dog Strap Harness is a true no pull harness that is light weight, which is especially great in hot climates.  What makes this a true No-Pull harness is a D-ring set into the front chest area where the straps meet.  If you have a dog that wants to get out in front of you then this harness will solve that problem.  When the leash is attached to the front chest D-ring and you tug at the leash the dog will turn back towards you.  Causing the dog to turn its head and focus on you.  If you have a young dog that gets distracted easily this will also be a good harness for you.  When training with this harness I will attach a short leash to the top D-ring of the harness and then a narrow longer leash to the front chest D-ring.  I will work the top leash but if the dog gets out of position or distracted I have that narrow longer leash on the front D-ring to make the correction and get the dog back focused on me.  If you are working with a wheel chair you can attach one leash to the chair and hold the other leash that is connected to the front D-ring to get the same results.

The No-Pull Service Dog Strap Harness has a great range of adjust-ability.  Both the chest straps, underbelly strap, and the girth strap is adjustable.  There are no loose floppy straps on the No-Pull Service Dog Strap Harness.  It comes with two Service Dog patches that are Velcro backed so they can be changed out.  The entire back plate is also Velcro so patches or an ID pocket window accessory can be added, (sold separately).  The handle is a raised molded easy grip handle with two D-rings.  The D-rings on the sides of the handle can work to attach an extended bridge handle, (sold separately).  This harness is black in color and is offered in two sizes.  Girth size for M/L harness is 22” to 32” and the size XL harness will fit a girth from 29” to 44”.  Bridge handles, custom patches, ID window pocket, and ID cards are sold separately.

2 Standard patches come with hook attached.
Additional patches can be purchased if you desire different text: (click to view other patches)

Top gear, must have!
Anatomically perfectly fitting gear, without the typical horizontal strap, hence leaving the shoulder free to function and not hurting your pet! Can add a Clip-on Bridge handle that sits well on the back of the dog. Plus there is a big velcro part on the back to fix needed signalisation. This is clearly the best service dog harness I have ever encountered ❤️❤️❤️

Ergonomic, great for working dogs.
I really like this harness. I have about a dozen or more ActiveDogs working dog harnesses that I've accumulated over the years for my service dogs, even a couple I purchased this year. My service dog trainer (referencing Chris Zink, DVM) suggested that I buy Y harness to avoid the heat that builds up on the shoulders, at least until my service reaches full physical maturity.

I immediately came to ActiveDogs, chatted with online customer service and purchased this. It's a great harness, especially for summer and autumn. I have mesh vests, but my service dog prefers this in warm weather, seemingly preferring this to the others generally. In the deep of winter's cold, he may prefer the longer, but still breathable, Search and Rescue vest (which is a great harness as well). We'll see.

Anyhow, to improve this vest, I'd love to see the ability to have a fabric option with the back patch sewn on. I'm not a fan of hook and loops. It catches too much fur, and when in public, particularly an establishment that serves food, provides medical services, etc, my service animal's harness has to be absolutely immaculate.

Also, my service animal is black (and I know he's not the only mostly or all black service animal). It's already difficult to keep him from being kicked or stepped on: a bright harness helps quite a lot.

Anyhow, the harness is highly recommended. If ActiveDogs can offer the option I suggested above, I'll be back to buy additional harnesses as he grows.

And thanks ActiveDogs for consistently excellent products for me and my service animals.

Handy for me and comfortable for my pup
I love this harness. My other vests, I tried to get bright lettering (I have an invisible disability so I get approached a lot) but the vest itself didn't help me with my issues.

This vest- with the handle where it is- is perfect for me. I can hang on to Monty when needed, and he stands up all confident and comfortable in the vest. I also purchased some leash covers and the ID pocket, and we are all set up so ppl know not to approach us and we meet all our regulations for a BC certified service dog.

Having customizable options is, simply put, badass!

No Pull Harness
I bought this harness for a lightweight alternative vest for my service dog for times that he is in the water with me. It fits well and I like that the breastplate to girth connector is Velcro so the dog does not have to step into the harness. One thing: I am small and the handle is quite snug, so for people with larger hands who rely on the handle, I would recommend the addition of an auxiliary snap on handle.

Great harness
This harness is so great as it can used as a service dog vest and harness all in one unit. Our service dog is very hairy though so the service dog logo gets covered up by his fur. For a smooth coat dog this would be the perfect harness.
